FOL

‘Fol’ is a Fashion-Veganism Editorial comprising of three photoshoots that exhibit my passion for Creative Direction. The photo series focuses on organic products utilising both natural and studio lighting and sculpting fruit and vegetables into surrealist fashion accessories. The individual editorials portray a distinct story yet the same theme is threaded through each visual. All the compositions include fruits, vegetables or florals and are the focal point of each shoot. ‘Fol’ aims to provide awareness and perspective on Veganism and the environment.

The Creative Direction & Styling formulae are aimed at making the images familiar and easy to identify with. I use classic colour wheel combinations and composition design principles to invite the viewer into a known place, before surprising and challenging them with twists on typical design, using lighting techniques to draw attention to and enhance the focal point.

JOURNEY

Extraordinary people have inspired this magazine – their journeys and perceptions of life and living. Here we take their journeys, with a twist of fantasy, an out of the world experience. The title “Journey” manifested from all the pain and suffering people go through that somehow ends with beauty. Therefore, it is not necessarily a negative word; it is how success and beauty is obtained, which is seen throughout the magazine. The magazine is a series of different journeys, all with beautiful endings.
